About Us
Experience Amazing.

At Pomegranate Journeys we see adventure travel differently. We know that a European active vacation is much more than just a bike and a hotel and for that reason we knew that just traveling the countryside from hotel to hotel would never get us where we wanted to go. We seek to deliver a sensory rich journey at the heart of each travel experience. To this end, Pomegranate is committed to a limited choice of select destinations and itineraries, as well as small group sizes, in a travel market saturated with volume and confusing choices. The itineraries and suppliers are unique to Pomegranate Journeys as is our history in the field.
We believe it takes research and local know-how to find the hidden gems. We believe in changing our itineraries to suit the seasons, the local cultures, to take advantage of any special events, and to enjoy seasonal food and wine. We want our guests to know we are always working to bring them an authentic experience, and that we are passionate about every detail.
Origins.
Pomegranate was formed by four 1st and 2nd generation North Americans of European descent with varied backgrounds who felt they could create travel experiences on a scale and with an attention to detail that would lend the utmost authenticity to the clients experience. With today's exceptional technology, these three tech-savvy, travel-hungry companions decided to make adventure travel more accessible to everyone by utilizing connections within the internet community and offering options so that anyone can experience the uniqueness of travel by bike, hike and guide.
People.

Gabriel Del Rossi lead guide and trip designer lives in the French Alps and has over 14 years of extensive adventure guide experience. He is an accomplished cyclist, skier, food and wine aficionado in addition to his numerous degrees in Literature, Culture and Outdoor Education. He has built countless friendships with people from around the world for more than a decade (in four different languages) sharing authentic moments together.
Our North-American team is an amazing mix of athletic ability, business savvy and creative force. We are experts in the field of mixed martial arts, instructors in fitness and self-defense, sons of Greek and Italian immigrants, avid cyclists, lovers of food and wine and musicians. We are committed to an owner-operated, guide focused, small operation dedicated to quality and value.
We have extensive travel experience and expertise both as travelers and as tour leaders. Most of our guide team are European nationals proud to share their country's culture and heritage with our guests. Unlike most organizations, Pomegranate Journeys' guides are also part owners of the company. They are there from the beginning to answer your questions, are present during your tour as trip leaders, and will follow up on your travels at the completion of your journey. Your enjoyment and safety are their first priorities. And they will most certainly become lifelong friends.
Passion and The Pomegranate Fund.
Pomegranate is committed to sustainable travel and zero-impact business practices. We don't just say this as a marketing initiative - we mean it - and we live it. Furthermore, we won't just be measuring our environmental impact while on tour but also when we are not on tour. Pomegranate will periodically calculate its footprint to define our impact and then set funds aside for The Pomegranate Fund to invest in local sustainability projects and great causes right in the places we travel and beyond.
The Pomegranate Fund is structured to be as efficient as possible, as transparent as possible and as flexible as possible. We sincerely want to go beyond 'carbon-neutral' and be a positive force in the quest for a better future.

For example, if we travel through Italy and determine our impact on the local community, measured in dollars and cents, to be $100, the Pomegranate Fund would have $100 added to the fund to be allocated for a project in Italy that will benefit the local community and offset, in our minds, our impact. This project might be an environmental initiative such as alternative power, a local education project, or perhaps a recycling project. On an annual basis, we will share with you details of our environmental and community initiatives and encourage feedback and suggestions from the global community. We will also be looking for great causes to contribute to that help improve the lives of people struck by tragedy, misfortune or poverty.
The Pomegranate Fund is our commitment to sustainable commerce and conscientious travel in places that we love to share with you on your journeys.
